PagePod is built and operated by Fil.Technology. We design PagePod to collect as little personal data as possible, to keep your reading private, and to never sell your information.
Who we are
PagePod (“PagePod”, “we”, “us”) is a product of Fil.Technology, the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us any time at fil@fil.technology or via our contact form.
What we collect
- Waitlist & messages. If you join the waitlist or use our feedback, wishlist, report, or contact forms, we collect the email address and message you provide. These forms are operated for us by AppMate.
- Usage analytics. We collect minimal, privacy-light analytics about how the site is used (for example, that a shared link was opened). We do not build advertising profiles.
- Article content in the app. When you save an article in the PagePod app, its content is processed to clean, summarize, narrate and chunk it. Wherever possible this happens on your device. Your reading position and saved items sync so you can pick up where you left off.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the service.
How we use it
- To run the waitlist and tell you when PagePod is available on your platform.
- To respond to your feedback, feature requests, reports, and questions.
- To operate, secure, and improve the app and website.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run PagePod, under appropriate safeguards:
- AppMate — hosts our waitlist and feedback / wishlist / report / contact forms.
- Vercel — hosts and serves this website.
- Supabase — backend data and storage for the app.
- Apple — App Store distribution and, where you opt in, Sign in with Apple.
Your choices & rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you — including removing your email from the waitlist — by emailing fil@fil.technology. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor these requests.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, waitlist emails until you ask to be removed or the waitlist is retired.
Children
PagePod is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy as PagePod evolves. We'll post the revised version here and update the date below.
